Since its launch back in 2018, the Poco F1 has gone to achieve cult status. Now, finally, after a year of speculation and leaks Poco has confirmed that the next phone from Poco (quite possibly the much-awaited Poco F2) will launch in February. Poco India General Manager C Manmohan confirmed this in an interview with Gadgets Now.
Just a few days ago, Poco confirmed that the company wasn’t going to be a one-hit-wonder and is indeed here to stay. The brand even spun off from Xiaomi and is now a company of its own. Confirming its presence, the brand even teased its “Season 2” which can be considered to be an indication of its upcoming device(s).

There have been rumours floating around which claim that the Redmi K30 that was unveiled in China last year will be rebranded as the Poco F2 for the Indian market. While we can’t confirm this at the moment, it seems like a possibility. But when you consider that the Redmi K20 series was launched in India, it also makes sense for the Redmi K30 to not launch under an alternate name.
We’ve seen quite a few leaks and benchmark listings regarding the Poco F2 (and the Poco F2 Lite) but none of them hold much weight. Either way, the Poco F2 is going to be an important launch for the company. The absence of the Poco F2 has generated a lot of hype and with a wait of more than a year since the launch of the Poco F1, consumer expectations regarding the device are expected to be through the roof.
Xiaomi recently confirmed that it also plans on launching more Mi-branded devices in India and not just focus on its Redmi sub-brand that has done wonders in the subcontinent. The first launch under the Mi brand is expected to be the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 whose launch has already been teased back in December. The phone’s highlight is the use of a Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX 108MP sensor.
