We asked 5 fitness pros what they’re hoping for this Christmas

Your kitchen is littered with mince pie wrappers and Love Actually is on ITV again – yep, Christmas is well and truly on its way.

As well as bringing ugly Santa jumpers and all the work parties with it, the start of the festive season also means it’s time to start thinking about gifts. Whether you’re after something for your gym-bunny bestie or you’re looking for present inspo to kick-start your own fitness journey come January, we’ve got you covered.

Here, five fitness pros share what’s at the top of their Christmas wish lists.

“My workouts often leave my hair really frizzy, so this year I’m on the hunt for something that will help me tame my locks! I’m hoping for a new pair of straighteners – I’ve heard good things about the Cloud Nine Micro Iron. I need a pair that are really light and easy to carry around in my kit, so I can avoid having to lug a big bag around. “

I’m determined to look after my skin more when I’m working out to avoid the usual gym breakouts, so I’ve got my eye on the LUNA 3 by the Swedish brand FOREO. It’s a clever facial cleansing massager that promises to remove oil, dirt and sweat like nothing else. I’ve read it’s perfect before a workout to cleanse the skin and remove any barriers to allow my skin to breathe (and sweat) properly, as well as after an intense training session to wash off it all off. And it’s a smart gadget too, you can link it to the FOREO app to adjust the intensity and duration, and select a firming massage to your liking. Ideal for someone like me who is in the gym at 6AM, six days a week!

“I’ll be asking for a reusable water bottle from Chilly’s that I can fill up at home or at the gym before a class to keep me hydrated. Most fitness studios are getting more environmentally-friendly by limiting the number of plastic water bottles they’re providing to gym-goers and I’m trying to reduce my own plastic consumption, so it’s a great option – especially as I work out so regularly.”

“If I had to choose just one gym-related Christmas gift for myself, it’s got to be a booty band from Gymshark. Warming up and activating those glute muscles properly pre-workout is so essential. Bands are also really portable, meaning you can take them with you when travelling. If you’re trying to grow your glutes, this nifty accessory is a must-have for your wish list!”

“This Christmas, skincare is at the top of my wish list. I’m not into overly fussy skincare routines – most days, I tend to keep things really minimal by just applying a great SPF. But, to help keep my skin looking its best, I’ll be asking for a super moisturising face serum like FOREO’s Serum Serum Serum to help keep my skin soft and glowy during those cold winter months.”
