A civil engineer and his teenage daughter had been rescued from a kidnapper in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad on Sunday, police stated.

Kunal, 50, and his daughter Shruti, 17, had left for a temple on a bike after they had been kidnapped by a person, they stated.

Kunal’s spouse Asha obtained a name from the kidnapper demanding a ransom of Rs 50 lakh for the father-daughter duo’s launch, SSP Sudhir Kumar Singh stated.

The kidnapper additionally known as Kunal’s two sisters demanding Rs 50 lakh and Rs 30 lakh respectively, he stated.

He threatened to kill the father-daughter duo if the ransom quantity was not paid, the SSP stated.

Asha made a name to the police management room concerning the incident. Thereafter a plan was devised to rescue the father-daughter duo, he stated.

A bag with dummy forex notes and fitted with a GPS tracker was given to Asha to succeed in to the kidnapper, Mr Singh stated.
