Ulefone is undoubtedly one of the top rugged phone manufacturers in the world with its Armor Series being extremely popular among users. Recently, the company made a revelation about the successor of the current rugged flagship, Armor 6, by revealing a photo of a device featuring a waterdrop notch display, 48MP triple camera setup, and Helio P90. This device is probably Ulefone Armor 7 and is expected to be very interesting.
Helio P90 is the latest creation of MediaTek and incorporates powerful performance, AI support, and advanced manufacturing method. Right now, no other device is using Helio P90 as the chipset hasn’t launched officially but judging from Ulefone’s photo, it will soon. This will make Armor 7 the world’s 1st rugged device with Helio P90 and a 48MP triple camera setup.
In 2019, suddenly all manufacturers began to focus even more on camera performance and that was made possible after Sony released their advanced 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor. Since then, other manufacturers released 48MP sensors but Sony is the absolute conqueror of this market so most smartphone manufacturers use the IMX586. If everything goes according to plan, Armor 7 is expected to ship with the same sensor and that will definitely improve photo shooting quality by a lot.
So, features like the waterdrop notch, the latest Helio P90, and the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor will allow Ulefone Armor 7 to compete with other flagship handsets in terms of camera performance with the rest of the specs being high-end as well. Armor 7 seems to have already claimed the “Most Powerful Rugged Phone” title in advance. Until then, the newly-launched Armor 6E is the first Helio P70 rugged phone and you can get it for just $199.99 in the one-week promo on Gearbest.
