Md. man wanted for escaping while on pre-trial release after removing GPS device

A 30-year-old Lexington Park man, who was on pre-trial release on assault and possession charges, is wanted for removing his GPS device and escaping.

Donald Levi Warrick Jr. was charged with second-degree assault and possession of a controlled dangerous substance before he escaped from monitoring, according to a statement from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.

Warrick is now wanted on the additional charge of second-degree escape.

Through the Crime Solvers Program tipsters are eligible for an award of up to $1,000 for information about a crime in St. Mary’s County that leads to an arrest or indictment.
