GROSSE POINTE SOUTH — Dow High swimmer Luke Lezotte won two individual events on Saturday to help the Chargers take second out of four teams at the Grosse Pointe South Invitational.
GP South won with 500 points, Dow scored 451, Birmingham Groves had 435 and Warren De La Salle 386.
Lezotte won the 50-yard freestyle (22.15 seconds) and 100 freestyle (48.62).
Dow’s Collin Che won the 200 free (1:47.47), Gage Bunker won the 500 free (4:57.52), Louie Sun won the 100 breaststroke (1:04.03) and Lezotte/Che/Joseph Krzciok/Zach Fewkes won the 400 free relay (3:20.60).
Taking second for Dow were Che in the 100 butterfly (54.94) and Che/Lezotte/Mark Van Heel/Krzciok in the 200 free relay (1:30.97).
Taking third was Sun in the 100 fly (56.16).
Taking fourth were Fewkes in the 200 individual medley (2:10.72) and the 100 backstroke (59.22), and Krzciok in the 100 free (50.94).
Taking fifth were Bunker in the 200 free (1:53.50) and Krzciok in the 200 IM (2:10.96).
Taking sixth were Sun/Austin Urlaub/Nathan Johnson/Bunker in the 400 free relay (3:43.79).
The Chargers’ next meet is Friday, Jan. 4 against Bay City Central and Flint Carman-Ainsworth at Bay City Handy Middle School.
